Mateo Gašparović was born on August 6, 1986 in Rijeka. He gained the professional title of Graduate engineer of geodesy in 2009 at the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb. At the same University, in 2010 he was employed as an assistant at the Chair of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. In 2015 he gained a Ph.D. degree with the theme of the dissertation “Radiometric equalization of textures on the photorealistic 3D models”. Currently, as postdoctoral researcher he gives lectures on Topographic Information Systems and Advanced Remote Sensing at the Faculty of Geodesy and Remote Sensing and on Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb.
In his scientific and professional career he actively works on the application of photogrammetry and remote sensing in environmental research, documentation of cultural heritage and the development of unmanned aerial vehicles.
He is a member of the Croatian Geodetic Society and the Croatian Chamber of Chartered Geodetic Engineers.
